Teaching

Matt is an experienced and passionate teacher who has worked with students of all ages and abilities. His teaching focuses on developing a solid technical foundation and a strong sense of time and groove across all styles. Throughout his 15+ years of teaching Matt has developed a clear and concise pedagogical method, which along with tailor made resources, enable consistent and effective development and a creative approach to learning.

As well as teaching privately, Matt currently teaches for Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT) and has previously led workshops at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and for Live Music Now.

In 2020 he was awarded an LRAM teaching diploma from the Royal Academy of Music.

Lessons with Matt can take place at his home studio in South London or via Zoom/Skype. Matt Is fully DBS checked and has completed recent safeguarding training.
